Noncredit courses are zero (0) units and don’t apply toward graduation. Offerings
vary each term and are available in select subjects.

What are the Steps to Apply?
Complete your application
Create an account or log in to CCCApply and submit your admissions application.
Be sure to finish the identity verification (ID.me). See below for more information.
Activate your student account.
After submitting your application, click “Create my College Account.”
Check your email.
Look for your Welcome Letter (sent to your personal email). It will include your student
ID number and student email address.
CCCApply ID.me Identity Verification
Beginning February 2, 2024, CCCApply will be integrating identity verification through
ID.me. This will help protect student identities and prevent fraudulent students from
taking spots in classes at Cerro Coso.
Verify Your Identity with ID.me
Choosing "Verify Later" or opting out of ID.me could delay the verification process
up to 4 weeks. Speed up your enrollment, verify your identity with ID.me.
Documents you may use to verify identity:
Government-issued ID such as a current Driver’s License or State ID card
Certain student populations won’t be able to use ID.me:
No valid identity documentation from country of origin
No permanent address (housing insecure/homeless)
No internet access or a smartphone (incarcerated)
Minors (see the FAQ section below for more information)
Foster youth or juvenile students who are wards of the court (an ID.me enhancement
is in progress that may make this tool available in the future)
If you do not have the documents listed above or cannot use the ID.me Self-Service
portal, please visit the ID.me Help Center to speak with a live agent. You can also verify your identity in person or via video
chat with Cerro Coso Admissions & Records.
NOTE: There may be a wait time when connecting with Admissions & Records, especially during
peak, high-impact periods. Please have identity documents ready and follow the instructions
provided by the technicians. Do not leave the chat queue and create a new live chat
as it will slow down the queue. Please be patient and remain in the queue.

Directions: Enter the Main Building using the East bridge, and directly to your right in the
lobby is the Admissions & Records office.
If you are a continuing student, meaning you are registered in classes for the current
term, DO NOT re-apply for admission. You will need to complete an Update Form via
InsideCC when you are registering for classes for a new term. Continuing students
will receive a registration time ticket that indicates what day and time they will
be able to enroll in classes. This information should be available via InsideCC a
couple of weeks prior to the start of priority registration.
You’re considered a new student if you’ve never taken classes at Cerro Coso Community
College. New students, regardless of their educational background and goal, must apply
for admission. If you need financial assistance, apply for financial aid - you’ll
be given an opportunity to apply via the FAFSA website at the end of this application.
Returning students are those who have previously attended Cerro Coso Community College
but have missed two or more semesters. Returning students must re-apply by following
the steps above in addition to verifying their identity with ID.me during the application
process.
If you are a senior in High School and are currently taking classes at Cerro Coso
College, and plan on continuing to take classes for the next semester at CC, you MUST
reapply to Cerro Coso College as a “First Time College student” during the second
half of your senior year. Select high school graduate even though you won't graduate
for a few months.
High School students seeking to enroll in advanced scholastic or vocational coursework
not available at the high school may be eligible to attend Cerro Coso Community College.
Students enrolled in K-12 may use the online application, but must submit a Concurrent
Enrollment Form before registering for classes.

all California Community Colleges called CCCApply. Kern Community College District
(KCCD) is using this application system to allow students to apply online to our colleges.

Submit an application to our college
At the end of the CCCApply application, there is a "Sign Out & Finish" button that
will take you back to our website. If you do not click this button, you should receive
an email shortly after you apply with a link to create a college account.
By clicking on the "Sign Out & Finish" or the link you receive in the email, you'll
see a form where you can choose your college-assigned email and password. Once this
is done, you have access to our systems.
This may mean that you did not finish your application or there is a typo in your
last name, SSN (Social Security Number), or date of birth. Please visit the Registration Activation page and enter your CCCID to activate your application. If no application is found,

If you are having trouble with the ID.me Self-Service portal, you can visit the ID.me Help Center for other options, including speaking with a Live ID.me Agent.
You may need to re-verify your identity if you changed your name, corrected your date
of birth, or have been inactive for 12 months since you last verified. When you access
your OpenCCC account, if you need to re-verify your identity, you will be prompted
to do so.
No, students who are minors at the time of application are not required to verify
their identity through ID.me. Applications submitted by these students will be manually
reviewed by Admissions & Records for accuracy.
Some applications require manual review by the Admissions & Records office.

Reviews are typically completed daily; however, processing may take longer during
busy times.
