Start a Club
Student Club Charter Checklist
Student clubs re-charter within the first 4 weeks of each new semester (Fall/Spring).
New Clubs may submit a charter at any point in the semester.
- Student Club Information Form
- Must have at least 3 members: President and at least two other members.
- Club Constitution & Bylaws
- include for initial chartering
- not necessary for recharter unless the constitution has been amended
- Submit completed document to SGCC Document Dropbox
- Student Senator identified as club representative to SGCC
- Submit to SGCCVP@cerrocoso.edu and SGCCSecretary@cerrocoso.edu
- Student Club Advisor Agreement Form
- Must be a Cerro Coso faculty member
- Must attend club meetings
- Must attend club sponsored activities and events
- Submit completed document to SGCC Document Dropbox
- Earn Funds through The RISE Program
Once you have completed a club charter, please email Tyson Huffman to share that you've completed the required tasks. The completed documents will be sent to SGCC Student Senate for review and formal approval. Once the Senate approves, if there are no questions, the Executive Board will initiate the creation of an account with Cerro Coso's Business Office and transfer $300 into the newly established account as seed funds, to be used for fundraising and or events.
