On October 20, 2022, at 10:20 a.m., Cerro Coso Community College will participate in the Great California Shakeout to test the college's response to potential disasters.

Drop, Cover, Hold On!

  • At 10:20 AM, Multiple methods will be utilized to indicate that the earthquake has started including a page on the phone system and/or megaphones and a text message on the CC Alert System. At this point, everyone should drop, cover, and hold.

Cerro Coso Community College takes the ShakeOut and all emergency drills seriously. We practice disaster response in an effort to ensure our students, staff, and faculty are as safe as possible in case of an emergency.
