College Safety Training
Cerro Coso Community College is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone on our campus. As part of this commitment, we have developed a suite of online training resources to help you gain essential knowledge at your own pace. These asynchronous courses are designed to offer you the flexibility to complete your training at your convenience.
A Tailored Approach: For Students and Staff
The trainings cover crucial topics including Clery Act and VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) requirements, Emergency Response, and Personal Safety. The content is tailored to different audiences. Because students and staff have unique approaches, perspectives, and responsibilities when it comes to campus safety, we have organized the training into separate pipelines to ensure the content is most relevant to you.
Multiple Platforms
To ensure that our campus community has access to the most relevant and effective safety and security training, we utilize two primary platforms for delivery: Canvas and Keenan Safe Colleges. You will find a variety of crucial topics on both platforms, including training designed to meet institutional requirements as well as broader educational modules. By using both systems, we can provide a wide range of content in a way that is convenient and accessible for everyone.

Some of our compliance training is hosted through our partner, Keenan Safe Colleges. This platform provides specialized modules for our students and staff.

Canvas Training Instructions
The Canvas courses provide a flexible way to learn essential safety information. To get started:
