This guide will walk you through how to apply to Cerro Coso Community College as an Early College student. Use this page if you need help completing your application.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following:

• Full legal name (as it appears in official documents)
• Personal email address (do not use your high school email)
• Phone number
• Home address
• Social Security Number or ITIN (if available)

Step 1: Apply to Cerro Coso

• Go to CCCApply and create your account

Helpful Tips:

• Use a personal email you will check regularly
• Write down your login information
• Select the correct term (Fall, Spring, or Summer)

Step 2: Complete the Application

As you complete your application, here are some important things to know:

• Select that you will be enrolled in high school and college at the same time
• Choose an educational goal that best fits your plans (if unsure, select a general option)
• You may skip questions that do not apply to you
• Be sure all information is accurate before submitting

Step 3: Submit Your Application

• Review your application carefully
• Submit your application
• Take a screenshot or save your confirmation page

You will receive a CCC ID number after submitting your application—save this information.

Step 4: Activate Your Student Account

Set up your Cerro Coso student account.

During this step:

• You will receive your student ID number
• You will create your login credentials
• You will set up account recovery options

Step 5: Set Up Okta (Multifactor Authentication)

The first time you log in, you will be prompted to set up Okta.

You can choose one of the following methods:

• Okta Verify app (recommended)
• Text message (SMS)
• Voice call

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

If you need help setting up or resetting Okta, contact the Early College office.

Step 6: Return to DualEnroll

Once your account is set up:

• Log back into your DualEnroll account
• Add your student ID number to your profile
• Continue or complete your course request

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Once your account is set up:

• Using a school email instead of a personal email
• Forgetting to save your CCC ID or student ID
• Not completing account activation
• Not setting up Okta
• Not returning to DualEnroll after applying
