If you are an Inyo/Mono county area graduate and have indicated to Greg Kost that you will be attending, please check your student email for information, directions, etc., which will be sent in early April. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email Greg Kost.
*Graduates, please arrive by 4:30pm.
RSVP to Commencement
We’re introducing an updated RSVP process this year. Students on the graduation list will receive an email with instructions on how to RSVP for the ceremony. Be sure to submit your RSVP by Tuesday, May 12, so we can celebrate this exciting milestone with you! Be sure to read the email carefully and follow all instructions when you receive it.
Your RSVP is important! It helps us plan for your participation and prepare for the number of guests attending to cheer you on. If you or your guests require special accommodation, please be sure to include that information when completing your RSVP.
Rehearsal and Check-In Information
- Cap Decorating Event: Join Outreach Services in the Student Center on Wednesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 14, between 1-5 PM for a Cap Decorating event! On the 14th, join us for the Commencement Rehearsal immediately
after!
- NOTE: for those borrowing caps and gowns, you can decorate and keep your cap. If you do not have a cap and would like to participate, we will have a limited number of caps available at the event.
- In-Person Commencement Rehearsal:
- When: Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 5:00pm
- Where: Athletic Outdoor Training, located west of the Dr. Raymond A. McCue Athletic Complex (AKA, the Gym) – 3000 College Heights Blvd, Ridgecrest, CA 93555
- Rehearsal is optional but highly recommended for all participating students! We walk
through the entire process, from check-in to crossing the stage.
- For those familiar with our past ceremonies, the setup and path of travel are different for this year’s graduation, so come if you can!

- Commencement Ceremony:
- When: Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM
- Where: Dr. Raymond A. McCue Athletic Complex (AKA, the Gym) on the main campus – 3000 College Heights Blvd, Ridgecrest, CA 93555
- Check-In Information:
- When: Friday, May 16, from 9-10:30 AM. You must be gowned and ready to line up NO LATER than 10:30 AM.
- Where: Lecture Center on the Main Campus - 3000 College Heights Blvd, Ridgecrest, CA 93555.
- Reminders:
- Come with your cap and gown. (Loaner gowns will be available. Email ccbasicneeds@cerrocoso.edu to be added to the list if you have not already contacted us.)
- Wear comfortable and appropriate shoes; stiletto or spike heels are not recommended as you will be walking across various terrain from the lecture center to the gym.
- Please do not bring bags, backpacks, or purses, as you will not have anywhere to store them; Cerro Coso Community College is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Graduates should be dropped off in front of the Outdoor Athletic Complex or parked (if driving themselves) at the gym parking lot. Guests should park at the gym. Parking permit requirements will NOT be enforced.
- Regalia:
- Additional regalia (e.g. PTK, Honors, Promise, Finish Line, Umoja, LGBTQ+) will be available for pickup at check-in and rehearsal. If you receive additional
regalia, you will be directed to the appropriate table to pick it up.
- If you have already received your program regalia, you will not be able to pick up an additional one, so be sure to bring it with you!

- Guest Information:
- Guests should arrive between 10:00-10:45 AM. Tickets are not required for guests. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Parking permits are not required for this event.
- Guests should park in the gym parking lot - parking will be directed.
- Accessible seating is available for those with mobility challenges.
- To help ensure a respectful experience for all graduates and guests, we kindly ask that attendees remain seated until the ceremony has concluded.
- Overflow seating for guests will be held in the Lecture Center on the main campus. A Livestream will be available for guests.
- Accommodations: If you or a guest needs accommodations to attend that were not communicated to us during the RSVP process, contact us at graduation@cerrocoso.edu. The RSVP deadline is Tuesday, May 12.
- Immediately following Commencement, there will be a celebration for all graduates and their families in the Sculpture Garden across from the Gym parking lot. Music, picture stations, and cupcakes will be available.
