Men of Worth to Perform at Cerro Coso Nov. 21

10/28/25
Men of Worth

Calling all music lovers, those who enjoy a laugh and anyone who appreciates a good story (or several). The ever-popular Celtic folk duo Men of Worth, featuring Donnie MacDonald and James Keigher, will be returning to the Cerro Coso stage for one night only, November 21.

These two make up an enduringly beloved traveling act that has been performing regularly in Ridgecrest for nearly 30 years.

There’s a reason people keep coming back.

Macdonald and Keigher are amazingly versatile performers, playing instruments ranging from the accordion, bodhrans, guitar and banjo to the octave mandolin while singing and harmonizing in both English and Gaelic. In additional to musical artistry, the two deliver hilarious and occasionally heart-warming stage banter – including name-checking fans they recognize from previous performances.

“93555 is imprinted on us,” MacDonald joked last year.

Last year’s performance included traditional Scottish and Irish music and more modern tunes, such as a cover of a song by the Pogues.

Donnie and James have been musical partners since 1986. During that time they have received international acclaim from fans across America, Canada, Scotland, and Ireland – in addition to their loyal IWV fan base.

CDs will be available for purchase during intermission and after the concert.
