We are excited to share an important update on the development of the highly anticipated Registered Nursing (RN) program at Cerro Coso Community College, which promises to greatly benefit our local community.

This past summer, we proudly received approval from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office and the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. These milestones mark significant steps forward in launching this much-needed program.

As we work diligently toward securing final approval from the Board of Registered Nursing, we have encountered some unforeseen challenges. However, our commitment to launching this vital program remains unwavering, and we are enthusiastic about keeping you informed of our progress along the way.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the program, please feel free to reach out to Professor Shelly Tannehill, Director of Registered Nursing, at shelly.tannehill@cerrocoso.edu.

For more information about our RN program, visit the Allied Health Department page.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm as we strive to enhance healthcare education opportunities in our community!
