COVID-19

You may have heard by now about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), a serious respiratory illness that is especially dangerous for anyone with reduced immunity. Here is some important information that Cerro Coso Community College (CCCC) would like to share with you.

There have been no confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Kern, Inyo, or Mono counties at this time.

The college has been closely monitoring this serious global public health crisis and are taking precautions, evaluating thresholds, developing contingencies, and staying vigilant to minimize any future disruptions to instruction and student services at all campuses. We are fortunate to have this time to be proactive in planning and preparing in the event further action is needed.

It is important to stress that the health risk of the COVID-19 virus remains low at this time. The college is in communication with the California Department of Public Health and will continue to monitor and update you on the evolving situation.

The health and safety of our campus communities is Cerro Coso's top priority.

The Kern Community College District has established a website with communications to the campus community, and resources. For more information and latest updates https://www.kccd.edu/chancellors-office/coronavirus-update.
