California Turtle and Tortoise Club Scholarship

This scholarship is open to

  • Graduating students attending any Cerro Coso campus
  • Have a cumulative transferrable GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year institution
  • Must be majoring in the Biological or Environmental Sciences

Application Requirements

  1. Completed Cerro Coso Community College Scholarship Application
  2. Current college transcripts
  3. Two letters of recommendation: one from an instructor, one from counselor, employer or other
  4. A brief essay on college and career goals, academic accomplishments and awards, participation in school or community activities

Financial need will not be a consideration in the awarding of this scholarship. Scholarship award amount will be one $500 scholarship per year or as many as the change in value will allow.

Since 1964, the California Turtle and Tortoise Club (CTTC) has been promoting and facilitating the care and adoption of native and nonnative turtle species. The Ridgecrest CTTC Chapter has worked in the community to advance awareness and familiarize children and adults alike with the natural world around us. We would like to help support CCCC students interested in the environmental or biological sciences.

The CCCC Foundation is committed to helping students succeed in college through its scholarship program.
