A resume is often the first contact a potential employer has with a job seeker. To be useful it must make a good impression immediately. Cerro Coso Community College is holding a FREE Professional Resume Writing Workshop on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 from 2 to 3 p.m. The event is open to Cerro Coso students and everyone in the community that is interested.
Cerro Coso Job Development Specialist Kaylee McGady and Fleet and Family Life Consultant Jenny Rodriguez will cover how to develop a professional resume and cover letter, and provide helpful hints on how to get your resume to stand out and intrigue an employer and land an interview.
Employers still ask for resumes and a good resume continues to provide a competitive edge in the majority of professional, administrative, and managerial occupations. Learn how to sell your talents and skills to prospective employers.
The first in a series of workshops being offered by the Cerro Coso Community College Career Center this spring, interested individuals are encouraged to reserve their space with the Counseling Department at 760-384-6219. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Reserve your space today.
