College to Hold Career Exploration Day

Cerro Coso Community College's Career Exploration Day will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. This is an exciting opportunity for junior and senior high school students to "preview" the Cerro Coso Community College IWV campus and experience all they have to offer. This event is designed to increase college awareness and behavior in students who will be transitioning to college within the next two years. This is intended to be a bridge opportunity as student's transition from high school to higher education, and engage them in considering their career and higher educational goals.

Local employers have been invited to participate in the event offering students the opportunity to talk to those who are employed in fields of interest. Students will tour the campus and explore the various college department offerings. Cerro Coso staff from various programs and departments will be on hand to answer questions. Lunch will be provided and all attendees.

Interested junior and senior high school students must sign up with their high school counselor to be able to attend.
