Learning a foreign language can increase global understanding; improve employment potential; increase native language ability; sharpen cognitive and life skills; build an appreciation for international literature, music, and film; and make travel more enjoyable. SPAN C101 - Elementary Spanish I will examine the basic grammar and vocabulary for speaking, reading, understanding, and writing at the beginning level as well as learn about the culture and civilization of the Spanish-speaking world. Lucila Gonzalez-Cirre will instruct a class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15 to 10:50 a.m. and Jon Heaton will instruct a class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Both classes will meet in EW 210.
