Access Programs

AUO 1: EOPS students who complete minimum program requirements will demonstrate the same or greater success and retention as the college wide average.

AUO 2: DSPS students receiving accommodations will demonstrate the same or better success and retention than the college wide average.

AUO 3: Students who complete meet the minimum program requirements to receive a CARE grant will demonstrate the same or better success and retention than the college wide average.

Admissions and Records

AUO 1: Provide timeliness of services to all students

Athletics

AUO 1: Each sport team will average greater than four hours of study hall per week.

AUO 2: Each athletic team will reach desired roster count at first official practice date.

AUO 3: Student athletes will maintain an average G.P.A. equal or higher to that of the average Cerro Coso student population.

Child Development Center

AUO 1: Provide a developmentally appropriate, play-based program for young children that is a model program for students and professionals related to the early education field.

AUO 2: Staff will maintain active relationships with the college and the community.

AUO 3: The CDC will continue to move towards being fiscally self-sustaining.

Continuing Education

Counseling

AUO 1: Provide services that support students in completing educational goals through counseling, advising, education planning, and student support programs.

AUO 2: Counselors and advisors provide student-centered services that are timely and responsive to the student’s needs.

AUO 3: Improve student success outcomes by providing core services (orientation, placement, counseling, education planning).

AUO 4: Implement strategies to support first-time students completing an education plan prior to or within their first semester.

Equity

AUO 1: Students will report reduced food insecurities as a result of the Hunger Free Campus initiative.

AUO 2: Students who meet the UMOJA program requirements will demonstrate the same or greater success and retention as the college wide average.

AUO 3: Students who use course text reserves will have greater course retention than the college-wide average.

Financial Aid

AUO 1: Students who receive FA services will report those services helped them attend college.

AUO 2: Students who receive FA services will report satisfaction with the timeliness of response for information.

AUO 3: Increase student access to FA office Technicians for assistance Financial Aid/Scholarships.

AUO 4: Decrease the number of students on warning and suspension from financial aid.

Honors

Human Resources

AUO 1: 80% of staff will report receiving timely, accurate information from human resources.

AUO 2: 80% of staff will report the recruitment process attracts the most qualified staff and faculty to serve our students.

AUO 3: 80% of staff will report human resources supports the district’s goals of equal opportunity, diversity and cultural competency to foster a diverse workforce.

Information Technology

AUO 1: Students and staff will report that IT staff were helpful and polite.

AUO 2: Data from the helpdesk system and staff reporting will show that reported issues are resolved in a timely fashion.

AUO 3: Students and staff will report that the technology at Cerro Coso was reliable and available.

AUO 4: Staff and faculty will report that training provided by IT was effective and timely.

Learning Center

AUO 1: Provide materials and services that support the college’s programs and the interests of students, staff, and faculty.

AUO 2: Provide an environment that supports and fosters student engagement and learning, and faculty teaching and research.

AUO 3: Optimize technology to provide resources and academic support services across multiple modalities.

Library

AUO 1: Provide materials and programs that support academic programs and the research interests of students, staff, and faculty.

Maintenance and Operations

AUO 1: Create a climate of overall satisfaction with the condition of the Cerro Coso facilities. (classrooms, bathrooms, offices, Student Center, library, etc.) in which the students and staff will rate the facilities conditions at 75% or higher as very satisfied or satisfied.

AUO 2: School Dude work requests will be completed in a timely manner.

Public Information / External Relations

AUO 1: 70% of students will report a high degree of affinity for Cerro Coso Community College.

AUO 2: 70% of students surveyed will report that they were aware of college programs, services, and activities.

AUO 3: Increase monetary donations to the college and/or foundation by 10% every year.

AUO 4: Initiate a comprehensive rebranding of the college to include fresh new logos and a shift in messaging to better communicate a relevant brand promise that improves the college’s position of being a college of first choice in the service area.

AUO 5: Host two donor campaigns a year, one in the fall and one in the spring, increase alumni activities, building alumni volunteer database.

AUO 6: Continue to review and update scholarships to increase awards and amounts. Create a program of donor stewardship, recognition, and engagement. Lead Foundation planning efforts that support the college strategic plan.

Student Activities/Student Government

AUO 1: Students who sit on college committees will have increased knowledge of participatory governance processes.

AUO 2: Students who participate in clubs and organizations will have an increased sense of connection to CCCC.

AUO 3: Individuals who participate in activities and events will have an increased sense of engagement. This will be measured by the student satisfaction survey and the percentage of students participating.
