The Selection Process

The Kern Community College District Board of Trustees has engaged PPL. Inc., to assist its management of the recruitment, application, and selection process of KCCD's next President of Cerro Coso Community College. Interested applicants should submit the following required application documents:

Application Materials

  1. Cover Letter/Letter of Interest (no more than five pages)
  2. Current Resume
  3. List of references (maximum 8) to include phone and email contact information for:
    • One direct supervisor
    • One peer
    • One faculty member
    • One direct report
    • One member of a governing board or member of the community
    • One classified or support staff member
  4. Unofficial Transcripts

Key Dates

  • Completed applications received by March 13, 2020
  • First level interviews will be conducted June 16, 23-25, 2020
  • Final candidate forums July 23, 2020
  • Final interviews held July 28, 2020
