The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

  • Open to all students eligible for the FAFSA or California Dream Act and AB540 Students and many other student groups.
  • Complete the Cerro Coso Emergency aid request form and demonstrate how you were impacted by the pandemic.
  • Any enrollment status qualifies you to apply.

  • Open to current students nearing completion to help remove financial barriers and promote persistence and graduation.
  • Open to former students who are near completion if they come back and continue towards graduation.
  • Meet with an academic advisor and create a comprehensive educational plan demonstrating the graduation pathway.
  • Any enrollment status qualifies you to apply.
  • Financial support to remove any financial barrier to your ability to persist and graduate.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit

Enrollment in the Emergency Broadband Benefit begins, Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.
