Daily Pass

If you do not identify any COVID-related symptoms, you will receive a green Health Pass. A green Health Pass allows you to engage in person on campus (attend classes in person, utilize labs, etc.).
If you identify any COVID-related symptoms on the app, you will receive a red Health Pass. If you are experiencing symptoms you will need to test for COVID-19 and return to in-person engagement once you have completed your required quarantine period.
QR Codes and Contact tracing on your phone
To help us effectively contact trace any positive cases on campus, CC wants all students, faculty and staff to check in when they enter classrooms, sit at community tables or visit other communal spaces. QR codes are on doorways and tables around campus. Whenever you enter a classroom or sit at one of these tables, please scan the QR code with the Kern Community College District App.
Purpose
The QR codes serve 2 purposes:
- Contact tracing: CC Health Officials may use the information gathered to determine if people have been exposed and should take an action such as being tested or self-isolating.
- Check-in: They may be used to facilitate check-in in places. When a QR code is scanned with the Kern Community College District App, it will display the daily health certificate, green for “OK to be on campus,” red for “do not come to campus.”

- Tap the icon in the upper left-hand corner, and your camera will open (you may need to give permission when prompted by your phone).
