Admissions Application Instructions
Before you start the admissions process, you will need your Social Security Number and Date of Birth.
The admissions application consists of three pages. The first page asks you to choose the college you are applying to. Cerro Coso Community College shares an application form with Bakersfield College and Porterville College. Be sure to choose the right one. Then choose which term you intend to start taking classes. Answer the last question and click "Begin Admission Process".
On the second page of the admissions application you will need to answer the following: your name, gender, ethnicity, primary language, planned employment, contact information, residency information, other personal information, proposed major and academic goals, and previous schooling. You will also be asked to create an email address and password and to select a security question for password recovery. You will need this email address and password to login to insideCC later to register for classes, check grades, and update your information.
Your student email address will be the ONLY email address that the college will use to communicate with you and it is your responsibility to check it regularly for changes in your class schedule, financial aid, and other important information.
When all questions have been answered, click on the submit button to get to the last page. This page will have your student ID. Remember this ID. You'll need it.
