Steps to fixing your computer: Try the following before calling a technician

If your computer gives you some problems, like error message, difficult program run, etc., you can do the following steps to troubleshoot some common glitch by yourself.

  1. Restart your machine.
  2. Still does not work - Clean TEMPORARY FILES, EMPTY RECYCLE BIN, AND RESTART.
  3. Actually go through the shutdown process and turn off your machine. Wait 10 seconds and reboot.
  4. Still does not work - Defragment Hard Drives and Restart (Go to START - PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - DISK DEFRAGMENT - START).
