College Offers Community Education Robotics Class

Cerro Coso Community College is offering a Community Education class entitled "Robotics Class With The Parallax Boe-Bot." This class will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. beginning March 30, 2010 through May 4, 2010. The class will meet in the College Learning Resource Center, Room 709 and will be instructed by Russ Rudin and Damien Jacotin. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 19, 2010. There is a $249.00 Community Education fee for this course which includes the cost of the Robotics kit. The minimum age is 16 years old and the class size is limited to 30. Participants will build their own robot and will be introduced to basic robotic concepts using the Parallax Boe-Bot. Basic computer skills are required.

To register, print and complete the "Student Registration Form" found on the College website at: http://www.cerrocoso.edu/communityed under the Indian Well Valley Campus. Mail or fax your completed form to the phone number and address listed at the top of the Registration Form. You can also register in person, and pay the $249.00 fee, at the Admissions and Records Office on the Ridgecrest campus.
