KRV Campus Offers Class On How to Apply For Scholarships and Grants

March 17, 2009

Have you ever wanted to further your training and education or make changes in your community, but the money is just not there?  The Cerro Coso Community College, Kern River Valley Campus in Lake Isabella is offering an accredited one day class on “Selecting and Writing for Scholarships and Grants” (CHDV C084, CRN #33510).  The registration fee for
this 0.5-unit class is $10.  Instructed by Marianne Fountain, this class will meet on Saturday, April 18, 2209 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This self paced, hands-on course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the workings of locating, writing, applying and re-applying for scholarship and grants.  Guest speakers will share their experiences and knowledge.  Bring your ideas and written drafts with you for a day of sharing and building on your “dreams” and “passions.”

Students may register at the Cerro Coso Community College, Kern River Valley Campus, located at 5520 Lake Isabella Boulevard during regular business hours or visit the Cerro Coso College website at www.cerrocoso.edu.  For further details and information, please contact the College Office at (760) 379-5501.  Register early, seating is limited.
