College to Offer Teacher Credentialing Workshop

September 4, 2008

Cerro Coso Community College will host a Teacher Credentialing Workshop on September 30, from 3 to 4 p.m.  The Workshop will feature three experts well versed in the Teacher Credentialing process.  Recent administrative retirees from the Sierra Sands School District Office, Kathy Kelso and Howard Smith will speak along with Burroughs High School instructor retiree Denny Roberts.

All facets of the credentialing process will be presented.  This would include the different types of teaching credentials available, the appropriate Bachelor’s degree for each, the credentialing course work and the required testing.  A general overview will be given, handouts will be provided and a question and answer segment will be available for all attendees.

The Workshop will take place in the East Wing, Room 206.  For additional information on the upcoming credentialing workshop contact Karee Hamilton, Counselor, Cerro Coso Community College at 384-6219.
