Building Futures Theme of Special Services Awards

May 7, 2008

The 27th Annual Cerro Coso Special Service Awards Ceremony, Building Futures, was held in the Student Center, Fri, May 2, 2008. This ceremony is held every spring to honor Special Services Students that have successfully completed Degrees, Vocational Certificates, Local Area Awards, and GED’s. Special Services provides a Celebratory brunch, an Alumna Speaker, and Counselors and Staff individually recognize student achievements. Special Services also acknowledge Cerro Coso Faculty and Staff members that provide Special Services Students with exemplary service during the year Guests present included: Dr Mary Retterer, Cerro Coso President; Special Services Advisory Board Members: Linda Dodson, Judy Bradshaw, Lorin Smith, and Terry Davis; retired Director Susan Smith, retired Counselor June Wasserman, EOPS/CARE Director Penny Talley, DSPS Director Deb Ernst; and current Special Services Counselors and staff.
