College C.A.R.E. Club Helps Women's Shelter

January 7, 2008

The Cerro Coso Community College, C.A.R.E. (Cooperative Agencies and Resources for Education) Club recently held a donation drive at the College to assist those staying in the Women’s Shelter during the holidays. The single parent students collected donations from students and staff that included warm clothing, diapers, cold medicine, toys, cash and a Christmas Tree. The CARE Club presented a check to the Women’s Shelter for additional needed items. Included in the picture left to right are Penny Talley, C.A.R.E. Club Advisor; Kelly Breor, Legal Advocate; Shelli Covey, C.A.R.E. Club President; Linda Conrad, Case Manager; and Sara Wright, Rape Prevention Education Coordinator.
