ESCC Campus

CCCC ESCC to Offer Vocational Nursing Program

October 9, 2007

Pending final State approval, Cerro Coso Community College, Eastern Sierra College Center (ESCC) Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program is scheduled to begin January 22, 2008! This three-semester program includes theory taught via interactive television on both the Bishop and Mammoth campuses, and clinical sessions conducted at Northern Inyo and Mammoth hospitals, Bishop Care Center, as well as other care facilities.

ESCC is now accepting applications through November 5, 2007. Application packets are available at both the Bishop and Mammoth campuses. Please call 872-1565 or 934-2875 for information. Successful candidates with completed applications submitted prior to the deadline will be selected through a lottery process. Information about prerequisites for the LVN program is available on the Vocational Nursing & Health Careers website.

Students accepted into the LVN program will be required to complete three classes. The schedule for the spring semester is as follows: LVN Theory which will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 10:20 AM; LVN Skills Lab which will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM; and LVN Clinical which will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
