CCCC Geology - Rockin' The Eastern Sierra

September 26, 2007

The Cerro Coso College Geology Department is offering a two-day field trip class at the Bishop Campus on October 6 and 7, 2007:

Sign up now for PHSC C103, California Basin and Range which is a field studies course in the Earth Sciences. This is a 1 unit class that will be conducted on October 6 and 7, 2007. The spectacular mountain scenery of Eastern California is the product of young faulting and active mountain-building. In this trip participants will look at the geology and biology of the White Mountains and Deep Springs Valley. The class field trip adventure will also include the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest and a tour of the radio astronomy facility at Westgard Pass. Participants will meet at the Bishop Campus at 7am Saturday, Oct. 6. For more info contact the instructor Dr. Dave Miller, damiller@cerrocoso.edu

Students may register on-line or at either the Bishop or Mammoth Lakes Campuses.
