CCCC Holds Driver's Education in June

Kern River Valley, CA – May 18, 2006

Cerro Coso Community College, Kern River Valley Campus is offering Driver’s Education as a Community Education Class in June. This class, taught by James Thompson, will be held Monday through Friday, June 5 through June 15, 2006, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Kern Valley High School.

This Driver’s Education class will present to the beginning driver a practical and realistic guide to the fundamentals of driving and the rules of the road. This class will take the student step by step from the basics of vehicle control to the specific dangers of different driving environments to the responsibilities of vehicle ownership. The student will receive knowledge to help him/her be a safe and competent driver. This Driver’s Education class meets the requirements of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), but does not offer behind the wheel instruction. Parental consent is required.

There is a class fee of $40. You may register your student and pay the Community Education fees in Room 5 of the College Office located at 5520 Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella during regular business hours Monday through Thursday until the first day of class on June 5th.
