College to Host Preview Day

Ridgecrest, CA – March 30, 2006

Cerro Coso Community College will host the fifth annual Preview Day on Friday, April 7 from 10:30 to 2 p.m. This event is an opportunity for junior and senior high school students to visit Cerro Coso and see first hand the opportunities available to them. Students will participate in an informational fair on the student programs available; (such as the Special Services Program, Student Activities Program, and the Honor’s Program, etc.) The informational fair will also cover academic majors available and services (Financial Aid, Veteran’s services, Child Development Services, etc).

Students will participate on a tour of the campus and be hosted to a BBQ luncheon. Visiting students will have an opportunity to interact with the first-rate Cerro Coso faculty and check out the facilities. “We had over 200 juniors and seniors participate last year,” stated Heather Ostash, Associate Professor of Counseling.
