CCCC Offering Late Start Classes

Ridgecrest, CA – January 25, 2006

Cerro Coso is continuing registration for a number of late start classes. Students may continue to register until the first day of any late start class. Registration may take place on campus or online through the Coyote Connection on the Cerro Coso home page.

On campus, classes such as “Becoming A Master Student”, listed under Personal Development, are open to any student who wants to learn techniques such as effective time management, note taking, memory skills, textbook reading, exam preparation and test taking strategies. “Reading Improvement” is open to adults who have reading and spelling difficulties or individuals who want to learn more about the auditory aspects of reading and sensory integration. The above classes begin Jan. 31st. Classes scheduled to begin in February are Emergency Medical Technician, and Community First Aid classes. Computer classes in Word, Access and Excel begin in March and Biology Field Trips start in April.

Cerro Coso is also offering other late start classes online, such as Becoming A Master Student beginning on January 30th. Business Office Technology classes on Keyboarding for beginning , intermediate and advanced levels and Computer Science classes are set to begin in March.

Additional Late Start classes are being added daily. Any students with questions are encouraged to contact Cerro Coso Community College at 384-6100.
