Ridgecrest, CA – January 13, 2006

Have you ever dreamed of writing for children? YOU CAN DO IT! Enroll now in Cerro Coso’s Community Education class “ABCs of Writing for Children.” This class will provide you with an overview of children’s literature genres with an emphasis on writing for young children. Discover the elements of a good picture book, its structure and the critical role of illustration. Learn how to format a manuscript and how to submit your work to a publisher. This class will de-mystify children’s writing via lecture, student participation, simple writing drills, discussion and handouts.
