CCCC Fall Band Concert

Ridgecrest, CA – November 1, 2005

The Cerro Coso College Community Band will perform it’s fall concert, featuring guest soloist Mick Rindt on Cornet in a performance of “Carnival of Venice.” The band concert will be held on Thursday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cerro Coso Lecture Center.

The concert will also feature the trumpet trio of Greg Bergevin, Peter Forney, and Mick Rindt in a performance of “Bugler’s Holiday.”

The band will also perform, “The Young Person’s Guide to John Williams” featuring such famous movie soundtracks as “Star Wars,” “Hook,” “Harry Potter,” “E.T.,” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

Other selections will include: “Taiko” - a unique style of Japanese drumming, “Caravan” by Duke Ellington, and the official Navy theme song, “Anchors Aweigh.”

In celebration of the holidays, the band will perform an “American Christmas,” and “A Crazy Mixed-Up Christmas.”

Doors open at 7:00 PM and admission is FREE!
