CCCC to Host 25th Annual College and University Night

Ridgecrest, CA – September 7, 2005

Cerro Coso Community College will hold its 25th Annual College and University Night on Thursday, September 22, 2005, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cerro Coso College Student Center.

Current college and high school students, along with members of the community, are invited to meet representatives from selected University of California and California State University campuses, as well as private/independent colleges and universities, military services, and Cerro Coso programs.

According to Ms. June Wasserman, Director of Counseling at Cerro Coso, “This event helps students make choices about where it is best for them to continue their education; it is an integral part of our transfer program.”

Some of the schools that have indicated they will be attending are: CSUs Bakersfield, Humboldt, San Jose and San Bernardino; UCs Davis and Merced; California Baptist College, Charles Drew, Columbia University, Fresno Pacific, La Sierra University, and Woodbury University. In addition, the following branches of the United States service are expected: Army, Navy, and Marines. A variety of Cerro Coso College programs will also be represented.
