Register Early for Cerro Coso's Beginning Drivers Education Class

Ridgecrest, CA – July 21, 2005

Cerro Coso Community College, Indian Wells Valley Campus is offering Driver’s Education as a Community Education Class. This class, taught by Steve Tomlinson, will begin on August 29, 2005 and go through October 12, 2005. The class will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mesquite High School.

This Driver Education course will present to the beginning driver a practical and realistic guide to the fundamentals of driving and the rules of the road. Driver Education will take the student step by step from the basics of vehicle control to the specific dangers of different driving environments to the responsibilities of vehicle ownership. The student will receive knowledge to help him/her be a safe and competent driver.

This class meets the requirements of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), but does not offer behind the wheel instruction. There is a class fee of $40. Please register at Cerro Coso Community College, 3000 College Heights Blvd., Ridgecrest in Room 214. Parent/Guardian must sign the registration form. The class fills up quickly, please register early.
