Cerro Coso College to Hold Financial Aid Workshops

South Kern – November 18, 2003

Cerro Coso Community College-South Kern Campus announces Financial Aid Workshops on the following days:

  • December 10, 2003 5:30-7:30 pm Edwards
  • January 15, 2004 5:30-7:30 pm Boron
  • February 18, 2004 1:00-3:00 pm Edwards
  • March 11, 2004 5:30-7:30 pm California City

Shauna Young, Financial Aid Assistant, will be going over the process for completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) packet, the various types of financial aid available such as government and private, and the timelines and deadlines involved.

The items that will be needed to complete the FAFSA packet include a #2 pencil, a copy of year 2002 Federal Income Tax Return or year 2002 W-2, year 2002 Untaxed Income information, Social Security benefits, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Passport to Services. Qualifications for financial aid are determined by income and family size. Adults only please as there child care will not be provided.
