Cerro Coso Community College to Administer Placement Exams

South Kern – November 13, 2003

The Cerro Coso Community College spring term begins January 21, 2004. In preparation Cerro Coso will be giving placement exams for the spring term. The placement exam is free and measures writing, reading, and math skills. It is suggested that prospective students with no prior college level English and Math take this exam. Students will receive their test results at the end of the session along with an orientation by a Cerro Coso counselor. The placement exam assists students in choosing the appropriate course levels and directs them toward their educational and career goals.

College Placement Exams in Edwards AFB:
Tuesday, November 18, 2003 8:00 am-12:00 noon
Monday, December 8, 2003 12:00 noon-4:00 pm
Tuesday, December 16, 2003 8:00 am-12:00 noon
Wednesday, January 7, 2004 5:00 pm-9:00 pm
Tuesday, January 13, 2004 12:00 noon-4:00 pm

College Placement Exam in California City:
Thursday, January 8, 2004 5:00 pm-9:00 pm
In the Cal City Middle School

Space is limited and reservations are required. If you are interested in taking the placement exam please contact the Cerro Coso office at (661) 258-8644 to schedule an appointment.
