Cerro Coso Community College Holds 30th Commencement Exercises

Ridgecrest, CA – May 13, 2003

Cerro Coso Community College’s 30TH Commencement Exercises are scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2003 at 6 PM in the Raymond A. McCue Athletic Complex of the College’s Indian Wells Valley Campus in Ridgecrest.

Cerro Coso will be honoring a class of approximately 230 eligible graduates from the South Kern Center at Edwards Air Force Base, Eastern Sierra College Center in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes, Kern River Valley Center in Lake Isabella, and the IWV Campus in Ridgecrest.

The following students have been selected by the Academic Senate to address the graduates at commencement: Elisabeth Romanski
(A.S. in Business Office Technology) and Christopher Lauritzen
(A.A. in General Education) from the Indian Wells Valley Campus and Verina McCullough (A.A. in General Education) from the Eastern Sierra College Center.

Daniel Weston has been selected to be the Distinguished Alumni Speaker at commencement. He graduated from Cerro Coso Community College in 1995 with a degree in General Education. He has gone on to receive his Bachelors in History and his Masters Degree in Special Education from California State University, Fullerton.

“Cerro Coso is very proud of its graduates, and we invite the public to join us in honoring their outstanding accomplishments,” states Dr. Sharon K. Dyer, President Cerro Coso Community College.
