Kern River Valley Campus Cerro Coso Community College Summer Classes In Kern River ValleyKern River Valley, CA – April 24, 2003Cerro Coso Community Summer 2003 semester of classes will begin on June
9, 2003. The College will be offering the following courses this Summer:
Beginning Photography- ART C161-this 3.00 unit course is about photography
as an art form, communication tool, avocation, and profession; Historical
Geology- GEOL C121- a 3.00 unit course covering the history of the earth and
of life on earth; Community First Aid and Safety-HSCI C105- is a 0.50 unit
course designed to teach basic first aid and “Community CPR” with
discussion, demonstrations and practical experiences. This is an American
Red Cross course; History of Mexico-HIST C209- this 3.00 unit course will
cover the social, cultural, political and economic aspects of the Mexican
past; Becoming a Master Student-PDEV C101- this 2.00 unit course will
discuss applications of effective studying and listening techniques,
including time management, note taking and memory aids.
