Hi, I’m Vivian Baker. I have experience in Child Development, human development, and am interested in issues of diversity. I am familiar with Cerro Coso online and computers don’t scare me. You’re welcome to ask me any question and I’ll do my best to help or I’ll help you find someone who can. 

Hours:
Monday: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Wednesday: 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

This semester Dean Bernsten is Chair of the Math Department while teaching a variety of classes. Since he started his teaching as a tutor, he is able to tutor all levels as well.

Tuesday: 8:00 am to 9:00am
Thursday: 8:00 am to 9:00am

While this is Larry Board’s first time supervising the open lab, he is not a new face. He is a Senior faculty member at Cerro Coso, having worked full-time for over fifteen years. He is also Industrial Arts Department Chair.

Hi, I’m Matt Crow, and I tutor English. I teach Basic Writing and Intro to Basic Writing, but I can tutor all levels of English. If you need help on MLA format for a research paper, then I’m your tutor. I’ll also try to help you with anything else you have a question on. If I can’t help you, I can probably find someone who can.

I’m Lisa Darty, and I teach Media Arts classes both on campus and online. My area of interest is digital media – digital imaging, 3D animation and motion graphics – but I’d be happy to answer any questions I can on other subjects, as well. If I don’t have the answer to your question, I’ll help you find somebody who does!

¡Hola! My name is Lucila González Cirre, and I am one of the Spanish language instructors here at Cerro Coso. This semester I am teaching a conversational Spanish class and Spanish 102 on campus. I find it very rewarding to see students gain an understanding and appreciation of other cultures, and their own, through language learning. We, at the LAC are here to help you succeed in your academic endeavors. If you need assistance with understanding Spanish language grammar, completing your homework, and/or preparing for your quizzes… you are not alone! Just come by the LAC, where you will find knowledgeable and dedicated tutors to help you out. ¡Hasta pronto, amigos!

I’m pretty comfortable with most of the software we have installed here in the open lab. This even includes Adobe Photoshop and the other media specialty software installed on the far west kiosk. Regardless of what class you’re working on, if you’d like some help tackling an obstacle, then I am your guy. I’m happy to be here, and I’m here to help you.

Hi, I’m Bonita Robison, and I have a background in Academic Development, Learning Disabilities, Assistive Computer Technology, and Reading. I have also taught all levels from pre-school through college. I taught high school biology and physical sciences before coming to Cerro Coso. At Cerro Coso, I have taught basic math, reading improvement, study skills, How to Be a Successful Online Student, and Master Student classes. You can ask me for help with developmental reading, writing and math through pre-algebra along with psychology, biology and basic physical science.

Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00 to 11:00 am and 8:00 to 9:00 pm; Friday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

As an Engineer, I feel the application of math has been a big part of my professional career. As a teacher, my goal has been to help students understand math and show that all math has applications in life
