2007 Submissions

Description

Since 2001 the Cerro Coso Kern River Valley Campus has hosted the annual KRV Awards, an event designed to encourage interest and participation in creative writing and the fine arts. In 2002, the Kern Valley Review was established to publish authors and artists who place in the awards. The KRV Awards accept art and literature submissions in five age groups ranging from twelve-and-under to fifty-and-over. Winners of the awards are published in the Review and are honored and presented with prizes at the annual Cerro Coso Kern River Valley Campus Awards Ceremony. To find out how to participate in the annual awards, visit the submissions page.

Thanks

Funding for the Kern Valley Review is provided by the Associated Student Body of Kern River Valley (ASBKRV). The campus and the editorial staff thank this organization for their generous financial support.

The campus and staff also thank the Kern Valley Sun for printing information regarding the journal and its awards.

Finally, the campus and staff thank all who have participated in the annual competition and teachers who have encouraged their students to create and submit their original pieces.
