Topic 1: Newsletter

       -     Jennifer Boston and Norman Boudreax have           volunteered to help with the newsletter

-          Need to compile essays, poetry, humor, and pictures

-          Tim  and Eilen have volunteered to help with the copy editing

Topic 2: “Hopped-up Wednesdays”

-          Norman and Jennifer have volunteered to help with set-up, sales,and clean-up

-          Approach Art class to come up with a decorative tabelsloth or banner with “Hopped-Up Wednesdays” on it

-          Make provisions for offering decaf, another blender for iced mochas

Topic 3: First Aid Sales

-          Sales are from 3/1-3/26

-          Want to canvas classes for sales and vendors

-          Jennifer’s mother woks with Hope Program at Wallace, approach her to help with sales

-          Chavaleh can attempt to promote sales at the hospital

-          Need volunteers to help tally theorders to send to the distributor, and then separate individul orders when the mass shipment comes in – volunteers are Chavaleh, Norman, Jennifer, Gregg

-          Questions brought up concerning when money is collected and dates for order going to distributor and receiving orders – will be more concrete next meeting

Topic 4: March in March on Sacramento

-          Organized to kep legislature thinking about educational needs and making responsible budgeting for education

-          Need names ASAP to reserve seating on the bus leaving Ridegcrest at 1am 3/15 and getting back late Monday night

 

 

Open Forum

-          Elections for ASB hoping to coincide with ASCC elections first week of April, ned to address concern over the fact that this is our Spring Break and voting attendance will be effected by that

-          By-laws and Constitution revised and copy will be available for approval by ASB members next meeting

-          Student commons: proposal should be ready by next meeting to be submitted to Foundation for funding approval

-          Concern over crosswalk expressed due to CHP beginning to complain about jaywalkers crossing Erskine to get the college building; cannot get city approval for crosswalk so issue must be addressed within ASB to avoid negative reprisals from students being issued citations for jaywalking

-          Interest expressed in utilizing ASB display case for promoting club events: ideas included making up a graphic for background, rotating out pictures from club activities, and posting club news

-          Spoke of potential future fundraising: pencil machine, t-shirts, pencils with ASB Club stenciled on them
