ASB Meeting Minutes July 16 2001

 

 

First meeting of ASB: Robert A.-meeting called at 5:05 pm

Facilitator: Paul Monk

Attendees: Cristina Maria Torrez, Terra Frasier, Linda Simmons, Joann Bailey, Donna Lumpkin, Sean Stacy, Robert Aguilar.

 

 

Treasury Report: Terra F.-$2600 available funds.

 

 

New business:

            Replacement of officer-Monty moved, voting for Vice-President. Advisor states that we should appoint a temporary Vice-President until next meeting when elections can be held and other members can decide whether they want to run. Cristina Maria Torrez placed in temp position.

 

            Introduction of new member Donna Lumpkin-Donna introduced                                          

 

            Newsletter- members willing to help out with articles etc.

 

Jet Ski races booth-sell cans or have Coke bring vending machines with 30% profit going to ASB. Voting commenced-vending machines take it.

 

Bake Sales-Ethnic Holiday bake sales once a month, baked goods once a month. Voting tabled for next meeting.

 

Polaroid camera-need camera for pictures at events. Digital camera discussed, thought to be the better choice. Tabled until next meeting. Robert will price printers for digital camera usage.

 

            Day Planners-for each member. Voting-planners may cost up to $20 each.

 

Shirts for members-Same t-shirts as last year would prevent the need for re-screening. Members discussed having nicer/different shirts. More research being done, Sean researching prices, voting tabled.

 

            Stamps-need roll of stamps. Cost of $54. Voted-affirmative.

 

ASB Sponsor list-Members will go to businesses in the valley to get sponsors. Tabled until next meeting when members will voice what part of  the valley they will cover.

 

Constitution-Amendment submitted-No proxy voting. Members must be present to vote for any ASB business. Robert will take amendment through appropriate channels.

 

Cans-Rotating months-members rotate on recycling. Voting will occur each month. Robert volunteered for this month.

 

            Halloween-Tabled-members will bring ideas to next meeting.

 

            End of the year ceremony-Tabled.

 

Old Business:

 

            Maps for Paul-Maps for use in Spring, third of a set. Voted-affirmative. Clay signed.

 

            Skeletons for Alita-Tabled until Alita brings new price.

 

Open Floor:

            Terra is doing bulletin board

Email members before important items such as voting is going to occur to give adequate time to think about it.
