Leveling & Grading of Land

Steve Busby, Administration of Justice instructor, and Richard L'Hommedieu assisted in the land surveying and leveling to prepare for the cement pours.

Ground leveling
_____ Smith brought up a large ground leveler in order to prepare the land for the new domes and cement.

A third, ventilated shed, was placed in the compound. The shed was in bad shape and needed major repairs, including a new roof and siding. The shed also had a ventilation system installed in order to help protect the sensitive equipment inside. Without the ventilation system the interior temperature of the buildings can reach 130 degrees in the summer sun.

John Matisohn II donated a power generator and fencing for the observatory.
