Application Procedures

Advertisements for our adjunct positions are listed at http://careers.kccd.edu. Once you complete the application process, your application will remain in the pool for 2 years. You will only be contacted for an interview if you are being considered for an assignment. If you would like to be considered after the two year period, you must re-apply.

Qualifications

Applicants must clearly meet minimum qualifications, or qualify for equivalency consideration. To be considered on the basis of equivalency, all transcripts and a detailed work history must be provided. In most positions, a Master’s Degree, the equivalent, or an appropriate community college credential is required.

Online Instruction: Cerro Coso offers a Certificate in Online Teaching. A total of 8 units are required for the Certificate Program, however, only 3 of those classes are required to teach online for Cerro Coso. The three required courses are: Faculty Orientation to Online Learning, Fundamentals of Online Teaching, and Introduction to the Development/Management of Moodle. The fees for these courses are $26 per unit for residents of California.
