Adjunct Faculty Positions

Applications are accepted on a continual basis for our part-time faculty pool and will be kept on file and under consideration for a period of two years. Applicants are contacted only when being considered for an assignment. See application procedures for additional information. Becoming part of the pool of qualified part-time instructors does not guarantee you an assignment.

To identify the current discipline pools that we are actively recruiting for, please see the Disciplines section below and click on linked discipline titles for complete job announcements.  Only those that we are actively recruiting for will be linked.

To be considered for the adjunct pool, all materials requested must be received in Human Resources. A complete application package must include:

  • Resume

  • EEO Survey (Optional)

Application must clearly state which discipline (see below) you would like to be considered for, and which site/location (see right) you are willing to instruct at.

Applicants must clearly meet minimum qualifications, or qualify for equivalency consideration. To be considered on the basis of equivalency, all transcripts and a detailed work history must be provided. In most positions, a Master’s Degree, the equivalent, or an appropriate community college credential is required.

Online Instruction: Cerro Coso offers a Certificate in Online Teaching. A total of seven (7) units are required for the Certificate Program, however, only three (3) of those classes are required to teach online for Cerro Coso. The fees for these courses will be waived if you are currently teaching for a California Community College. If not, you would be required to pay the normal registration fee, which is currently $20 per unit for residents of California. Please visit our website for more information regarding the online certificate courses at http://cconline.cerrocoso.edu/faccert/. In order to register for the classes, you must call (888) 537-6932.
