New Media Arts Course Offered

The Media Arts department is pleased to announce the addition of a new evening course this semester. Instructor Mark Pierce will be offering Fundamentals of AutoCAD at Burroughs High School. Pierce, a Ridgecrest resident for 26 years, has many years of experience teaching Drafting at both Murray and Burroughs High School. He also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer and in preparing construction documents for both commercial and residential construction. Familiar with a wide range of 3D and computer aided drafting software packages, Pierce brings a extensive background and wealth of experience to the course.

Objectives of Fundamentals of AutoCAD:
To provide the student with an appreciation of the capabilities and limitations of the AutoCAD program. Course topics include basic AutoCAD Level I and some Level II commands and functions as well as practical applications associated with Multi-View drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and Architectural design.
