This Saturday, the Cerro Coso Drama Department is hosting Guest Speakers
from TVI Actors Studio as part of the "Becoming a Working Actor" Workshop
Series. The presentation will be held Saturday (10/18) at 12 noon in the
Lecture Center and will focus on marketing and employment strategies for
actors.
The presentation is FREE and open to the public!
TVI Actors Studio is the nation's largest resource center for actors,
offering continued dramatic instruction, entertainment industry networking,
professional career consulation, and marketing support for actors. With
full-service centers in Los Angeles and New York, TVI sets the industry
standard for merging traditional actor training with the realities of the
business.
Alan Nusbaum (Founder and CEO of TVI) was an agent at the prestigious
Cunningham, Escott, Dipene Agency. Some of the clients he represented
include Courtney Cox, Phoebe Cates, Sandra Bullock, and Margeux Hemingway.
After agenting, he became a personal manager, representing actors for TV and
film. Mr. Nusbaum is currently the President of TVI Actors Studio in LA and
New York. He has spoken at hundreds of colleges and universities around the
country and world about the realities of becoming a working professional
actor.
The presentation will begin at noon. Students enrolled in the workshop will
meet after the conclusion of the presentation. The workshop on Saturday will
end at 4:20. It is not too late to sign up for this workshop, Drama C49A.
However, the presentation itself is free and open to the public.
