Library (LRC)

The Library is on the first floor of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) located to the north of the Main Building. The Library is completely automated, with collections fully represented in the online public catalog including thousands of ebooks. Through the Library's web page, access to online databases is made possible to on-campus students, faculty, staff and distance learners.  Call the Library Circulation desk at

Learning Assistance Center (LAC)

The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) located on the top floor of the LRC offers FREE tutoring services for all subjects with full time faculty support, if you need help with Math, English, Computers, or any other subject; and sign-up for tutoring. The LAC will give you the tools you need to excel!  Students who need an exam proctored for Cerro Coso classes or any other universities can schedule their appointments accordingly through the Learning Assistance Center.  We also offer 35 CLEP exams online with immediate scoring capabilities if you are not taking an essay exam.  Fees are $70.00 for active military personnel and $95.00 per exam for non-military candidates.   Study guides are available at www.collegeboard.com/clep or you can come by the LAC to view their copy.  FREE GED Preparation is available with specialized software on the computers with guided instruction, as well as, GED textbooks, and videos. Call Sherri Windish at 384-6161 or visit the LAC 2nd floor in Room 704 of the Learning Resource Center.
