Transfer Awareness Month

October has been designated “Transfer Awareness Month.”  During October there will be many activities held to help promote transferring to the four-year universities.  All of the following events will take place in the Transfer Center Room 224, unless otherwise noted.  Please sign up at the Counseling Desk to reserve your seat today!

28th Annual College and University Night

Cerro Coso Community College will hold its 28th Annual College and University Night on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Student Center.     Current college and high school students, along with members of the community are invited to meet representatives from selected University of California and California State University campuses, as well as private/independent colleges and universities, military services and Cerro Coso programs.  Contact Karee Hamilton at the counseling desk for information or call 384-6219

The Career Development Center can help with:

  • Finding out what job you want

  • Resume writing

  • Job interview skills

  • Interview role-playing AND

  • Getting you in touch with part-time, full-time, temporary, permanent, or summer employment opportunities (on and off campus)

Program Guidelines:

  • Must be or have been enrolled at Cerro Coso

  • At least 18 years of age

  • In Good Academic Standing

  • Must maintain a min 2.0

  • Must complete consent form and application

  • Must complete a resume for file

Students are referred to employers for interviews as positions become available. Contact Jennifer Schwerin, Job Development Specialist in the Career Center Room 224 or call 384-6219 for information.
