Cerro Coso Community College and the Cerro
Coso Community College Foundation are teaming up to sponsor the third
annual Astronomical Barbecue & Star Party. Mark your calendars for this
fun-filled fundraiser which is a benefit for the “Dr. Alex Shlanta
Memorial Astronomical Observatory” at Cerro Coso.
The fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, September 19 with the barbecue
dinner being held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the College Library’s front
lawn and the Star Party beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Observatory.
Musical entertainment will be provided during the dinner. Presale
tickets are adults: $10.00, children $8.00, and family four-pack $30.00.
Tickets are available at Red Rock Books, Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce,
and the Cerro Coso Business Office.

Alumni Baseball Game
Cerro Coso Community College will host an
alumni baseball game on Saturday, September 20 in the “Dawg Yard” at the
College. Check in and batting practice will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Game Time is 11 a.m.
A $20 participation fee includes a hat and game shirt. Come join with
your former teammates and coaches as and enjoy another exciting game in
the Dawg Yard.

CCCC Library
The Library is located on the first floor of
the Learning Resource Center (LRC) located to the north of the Main
Building. The Library is completely automated, with collections fully
represented in the online public catalog including over 18,000 ebooks.
Through the Library's web page, access to online databases is made
possible to on-campus students, faculty, staff and distance learners.

CCCC LAC
The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) located
on the top floor of the LRC offers FREE tutoring services for all
subjects with full time faculty support. If you need help with
Math, English, Computers, or any other subject; call Sherri Windish at
384-6161 or visit the LAC in Room 704 of the Learning Resource Center
and sign-up for tutoring.
