Band and Cerro Coso Choir Present
Fall 2007 Concert
WHEN: Thursday, November 8th, at
7:30pm
WHERE: Cerro Coso College Lecture Center
ADMISSION: FREE!
Directed by Daniel Peterson, the concert will feature both the
College Band and the College Choir in a special tribute to our
Armed Forces with a performance of patriotic classics including,
The Star Spangled Banner, God Bless the U.S.A., and the
Armed Forces Salute.
The performance will include famous movie themes from Batman
Returns, Titanic, Zorro, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. The
concert will also feature a special dedication to Todd Rogers.
You wont want to miss this special event when the Cerro Coso
Band and Cerro Coso Choir join forces to present an evening of
music. Be sure to come early since seating is limited. Doors
open at 7:00pm.
Men of Worth
The Students Activities Office is
proud to announce the first of a series of bi-monthly events to
Cerro Coso Community College. November 16th at 7pm in the Cerro
Coso Lecture Center (room 250), will present the traditional
program, Men of Worth. Admission is $10 general public and $5
with ASCC card. The program consists of Celtic music, laughter
and tall tales brought to Cerro Coso by Donnie Macdonald and
James Keigher. Contact Anna Sue Eldridge at 384-6353 at the
Student Activities Office room 248.
Colonel Rick Searfoss
November 30th, 7pm in the Cerro Coso
Lecture Center, (room 250) Colonel Rick Searfoss, MS, ASTR CDR,
(astronaut and Space Shuttle Commander) will be speaking.
Admission is $10 general public and $5 with ASCC card. Colonel
Searfoss normally speaks to corporate America and to global
companies in Australia, Germany and Japan. The Colonel is
providing Cerro Coso with an opportunity to find out what it
takes to be competitive in high demand programs like the space
program. He will be emphasizing the need for strong skills in
Math, Science, Speaking, Public Relations and Psychology. For
